We are a couple of retired intrepid explorers traveling this earth by land and sea.
We started our retirement journey in the Mediterranean on a Lagoon 400 S2 sailing catamaran in 2018. We purchased her in a whirlwind weekend in Tunisia. She was an ideal adventure platform as it is a proven bluewater boat and still small enough to be easily handled by two people. And enough headroom for Dan (almost 6′ 4″ or 1.93 meters) which was an important consideration. Her name was ZOE, which is the Greek word for life. Something we are trying to live to its fullest!
We sold Zoe in Greece to an Australian couple in 2025 to move to a Meridian 580 power yacht named “Bella Vita” based in the Pacific Northwest. With six grandkids we wanted to be closer to home.
